So Miss Emma has been asking for more Family Nights. For January, we decided to do Snowman Family Night.

Decor: Vase filled with water (raisin eyes and carrot nose) Snowman named Melty

Menu:
Snowman Soup (chowder with carrot nose and raisin eyes)

Snowballs (Powdered dounuts)

Mommy didn't do so well and Emma thought it was funny!

Made snowmen out of styrofoam and clay.

In this case, ended with making snow angels because there was an actual blizzard. PERFECT night!

Close Your Ears, Jesus

Today, Emma said to me (in a whisper) Mommy, I love God more than Jesus, but I really hope Jesus didn't hear me say that.

Sporting the Style of Naked

Tonight, Emma and I watched What Not To Wear. Emma was getting ready for her bath, and said: The next time you see me, I'll be wearing the brand new style of NAKED!

Tinsley and the Gentle Throat Clearing Maneuver

Normally, each morning when I wake up, I love on Tinsley. This particular morning, trying to get back into the swing of working after almost 2 weeks off, I rubbed Tinsley's head a few times and went to make coffee. I heard a sort of throat clearing sound coming from the sofa. It sounded like, ahem, ahem, almost human. I looked over and Tins was on her back with all four legs in the air, wanting a belly scratch.

Sparks Fly

Tonight, Emma was going to sleep and wearing her flannel pj pants. She noticed that when she rubbed them on the sheets, sparks flew everywhere. She said, in a very concerned, astonished voice: Oh my! Did God do this to me? Mommy, what is happening to me? It was cute!
